Tomb Of Tihocan in 8:54. I lost the video for an 8:56 run, so I'll certainly take the redo :) Still, I think it can be a little better.

And I think I just caught a huge break in the City of Khamoon. I don't remember if someone noted this before since this level isn't run very often but in the room with the movable block, it seems you don't need to move it all that much which saves a ton of time and it's glitch free. I didn't see it done in MMAN's 7:11 run so forgive me if there was someone else who did it recently.

Ah, nevermind I totally missed MMAN's 4:59 redo in which he does the shortcut. Sorry MMAN :P

Thanks. I looked at his YouTube channel, but not hard enough, obviously.

Yeah, I'm still alive.

I had been working on City of Khamoon, I got the route down pat and had a couple decent runs, until my HDD started acting up. So I backed everything up and am now using my grandma's laptop until I have some $ for a new HDD. My laptop was running Vista. My grandma's runs on 7 and it's an x64, so I had to change Glidos a bit and run it with DOSbox because according to the Glidos website, that's the only way it'll run on a x64 machine. I had been using Vdos32 and had no problems.

Anyway, I do have TR running now on her laptop and still have my run intact with all savegames, right where I left off. Glidos seems to be a bit slow starting up the game but I'm hoping it'll go away. The game runs fine it just has a little lag when you go in the inventory (this did not happen when playing on my laptop with vdos).

You seem to have had little luck when it comes to running this game :( I hope everything works out for you, and you can get some more levels completed soon :)

OK, it seems to be working better now. I downloaded the latest version of fraps and tried both 30 and 60fps, they both seem to do the same thing. Game runs much smoother now. Initially, as soon as I hit record for FRAPS the game would lag pretty much every time Lara moved, and as soon as I stopped recording, it would be fine.

So, it looks like I've gotten FRAPS to work properly. Except, when I enter the main room with the sphinx statue, the game is a little sluggish, but as soon as I step on one of the statue's legs, it's fine. So, I'll have to try and play through it.

As Tomb Raider is locked at 30FPS maximum make sure to always record at that, as going higher results in messed up videos that are near-impossible to salvage.

Yeah I actually realized I had it locked at the 29.97fps option on my other computer and had no trouble. Now I can't remember if I checked off half-size or full-size before. On this particular computer, full-size is making the game sluggish.
